A Bucks County, Pennsylvania native, Ben has been doing math with people of all ages for the last ten years. More recently, he had the great pleasure of working closely with and supporting math teachers in Brooklyn’s Districts 17 and 18 as they implemented open math tasks, rich math routines, and opportunities for students to delve into their own math identities. Before receiving his MS in education at the University of New Haven, Ben studied vocal performance and Japanese at Connecticut College. Ben enjoys cooking, karaoke, reading science fiction, playing video games, and being a dad to his new son, Hugo.
