David Miller

Teacher of Math, Upper School

BA Columbia College, Columbia University; PhD New York University

2022-present

David comes to Trinity after many years of teaching mathematics in higher education, most recently at William Paterson University. Although mathematics is a required subject that all students have been taking from an early age, David believes that the personal benefits of studying the subject may not be evident to everyone. Mathematics, he offers, represents the development of thought in precise terms and is, as a result, an accomplishment that emerges from capacities that all human beings share. By working on mathematics, David emphasizes, students encounter the possibility of realizing capabilities that they never knew that they had. He looks forward to working on mathematics with students at Trinity.
