Emily holds a BA in classics and English from Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota and an MA in English education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Originally from Iowa, she started her career teaching Latin in boarding schools and has taught Latin, English, and history in various New York City independent schools. Emily was the middle school humanities department chair at Dwight School. She enjoys reading, practicing yoga, and traveling with her husband and two children. Emily especially loves when her family’s travels can incorporate her passions for history, running, and baseball. Emily is excited to join Trinity’s Classics Department.
