After five years of living in the Netherlands, Lisa returned to the United States and now calls New York her home. Most recently, she was the upper division learning specialist at the Horace Mann School in the Bronx. She has taught at The International School of Amsterdam, the Charles Armstrong School in northern California, and the Kingsbury Day School in Washington, D.C. Lisa holds an MS in neuroscience and education from Teachers College, Columbia University; an MA in special education from The George Washington University; and is a proud alumna of Spelman College, where she received a BA in economics. Prior to entering education, she was a corporate auditor with international assignments in the Philippines, Japan, and Egypt. Lisa loves traveling, Broadway shows, vintage British comedies, vegetarian dining, and dancing. She is a pop culture aficionado, so the daily viewing of Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok is a must.
