A native of the Pacific Northwest, Peter has lived in New York City for the past eight years. After receiving his BA in psychology from Western Washington University, Peter worked with youth at a substance rehabilitation center and with suicidal teenagers at a neuropsychiatric hospital. He earned his MEd in education from Mills College and has been teaching for twenty years. Outside of the classroom, Peter loves to travel internationally and has lived in Zagreb, Croatia and Johannesburg, South Africa. He loves sports and officiates volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse at both the high school and college levels, in addition to playing in adult volleyball and basketball recreation leagues in New York City. Peter’s two biggest passions are the WNBA (“Go Aces!”) and Broadway, and he would be thrilled to chat with you about either.
